CRASSULACEAE

The source of inspiration for the Crassulaceae collection are succulents (Latin crassulaceae, i.e., succulent plants). Their fragility and unyielding strength to survive in inhospitable conditions speaks to the nature of us as people as well. A collection inspired by the plant kingdom serves as a window into nature offering a view of natural phenomena. The jewelry transforms its wearer into gardeners, capable within an urban organism or a purely human community of cultivating life-giving bonds with nature.

In our part of the world, crassulaceae are among the type of plants we know mainly from rock gardens, where the force of nature is wed to submission and to the talents of humankind, thus also resonating with the creation of a jeweler who remains an enchanted observer of a world about which he speaks through objects adorning the human body.

“A rock garden and a larch tree growing behind a cottage. A fire pit where houseleeks grow. An old oak tree and a stag beetle crawling on it,” Lamr himself characterizes his collection.
